Yep... back in the day these ships were assembled in Italy under license to BELL and except for the Agusta Bell badge and the EASA Data Plate, it is 90% identical to the regular Jetranger. As civilian air frames fully compliant for Part 135 operations, they have only ever been used for civilian flight training (not in Fort Rucker!) and the air frames are mint.
ZERO oil canning, ZERO corrosion and as straight as a pool cue. There are minor components specifically Agusta only but everything expensive (engine/blades/gearboxes) are all OEM and during their life inspected and overhauled by Textron approved shops in Canada and the USA. Leonardo (previously Agusta Bell) have provided a letter of no objection to replacement parts from BELL being installed on the Agusta Bell as and when required and here in New Zealand we have NZCAA STC approval for PMA parts installation.
Everyone knows that Jet Rangers are the Toyota Corolla of the sky and more sensible than gumboots for maintenance and reliability. I've completed all the test flying on this ship and it makes 105kts IAS at 70% TQ with full fuel and a mate. If you ever need to auto rotate there's time to text the wife that you'll be home late for dinner. If you value a conservative, fun and sensible helicopter, don't buy an R44 or R66 with that pending 12 year calendar issue - just give me a call.
