Robinson Helicopters entered the turbine market in November 2010 with the delivery of the first five-seat R66, powered by a 300-s.h.p. Rolls-Royce RR300 turbine engine, de-rated to 270-s.h.p. for takeoff and 224-s.h.p. continuous. The R66 has a cabin that is 7.5-inch wider than the R44, and a new 18-cubic-foot baggage compartment behind the rear seats. It can carry 415 kg (917 lb.) of pilots, passengers and baggage with full fuel at a maximum gross weight of 1,225 kg (2,700 lb.). Options include a SAS/autopilot.
