With over thirty years of experience in the aviation industry accumulating more than ten thousand flight hours flying fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, Pylon Aviation’s owner Scott Urschel’s expertise as a subject matter expert in several segments of the aviation industry. His substantial skill set and knowledge base spans various aviation fields that include experience related to manufacturing, ground and flight evaluation and flight testing, aircraft certification, training, sales, international operations and regulations, and a multitude of skills relating specifically to helicopter operations. Having flown over thirty five different makes and models of helicopters from the R22 to the Bell 412 including the Airbus EC120-EC145 as well one of only 16 pilots to fly the Airbus X3 at 200+ KTS and more than seventy-five fixed wing aircraft coupled with over twenty years spent in the aerospace manufacturing industry, Scott has developed unique skills to evaluate customer mission requirements. Ensuring when a customer is purchasing an aircraft, that they receive the most effective and efficient aircraft that is suited to the primary mission the aircraft will perform. This approach saves customers from making aircraft selection errors that often result in a costly replacement in the event an aircraft does not possess the characteristics or performance requirements needed for the mission.
